Norton ebay fraudulent site

Any advice is much appreciated. I can replicate this on www. On the site, enter a search term and click "search. I'm having the same problem on ebay. Just started on one computer about an hour ago. My other computer is fine at the moment. We sell on ebay all the time. Never had this happen before.. I was just on ebay about 40 minutes ago and all was fine.

Then it looks like my nortons updated about 25 minutes ago and now every time i click on an ebay item it says it is a fraudulent website Those that are logged in to an eBay acccount, try logging out and see if you have the same issue.

I just logged out of ebay. Then searched, page still comes up. I also logged back in and still the same fraudulent page.. This started around noon today for me. I can go to the home page, but after that I get the fraudulent site warning whether I am signed in or not. I buy and sell on ebay so this is significant to me. I get the warning when I click on any item, even items in my watch list. I have Internet Security , updated 6 hours ago. Don't worry. I am sure that ebay will contact Norton or that Norton already knows and is working on the issue.

I read about this and it did happen before. Guess this glitch is back again I have the same issue by the way. I hope. I was listing all morning with no problems. Now, every time I search or try to list, I get the same warning. Even when I try to review my listing it shows up. Has it cleared up for anyone??? I really need to work. I have tried turning the computer off then on, logging out of eBay and logging back in, and still every search item, even including my own listings!

Is this being caused by an update Symantec did or by an update eBay just did? Does anyone know? Sorry for the delay -- our team is working on this issue right now, and we should have this resolved shortly. Thanks for your patience.

I can ditto previous posts about eBay as a fraudulent site pm eastern. Hope someone is "on it". When will it be fixed. Or do I chance it and proceed on regardless of the dire warning? I'm in Arkansas and they still have not fixed the problem, I thought I had gotten into some bad bug when it said EBay was fraudulent.

Its almost pm my time, and its still not working! What do we have to do to fix the problem? No one seems to know! Just override it.. They ARE working on it. Get a grip This should have never happened, especially with a website such as eBay. This is uncalled for for a company such as Norton to release an update that had a bug in that will effect so many people. Come on, and this has happened before. I shouldn't have to click continue to web page anyway. Enter the key words you want to ask for help.

A dialog will open as you type your search terms. Enter your search term to display live search results. Use TAB key to navigate results. Come on, and this has happened before. I shouldn't have to click continue to web page anyway. At the longest, it should have taken them 10 minutes to have the problem fixed. I expect more from Norton. How do you over ride it? When I click on continue to website anyway, it still just taked me back to Norton.

You click on enter site anyway. This is bad for business. Still not fixed. How do you if the site is really not being phished or scammed. Millions of bank accounts could be affected. Do you honestly thing that Norton would have released something they knew would cause this trouble? It amazes me that things work half as well as they do, considering the infinite number of hardware and software combinations that software must work with.

Add in the infinite number of web sites with differing methods of displaying information, and I do not know how any of this works. As I noted above, I do not see this issue, and Norton's systems must be more like mine than those of you that are seeing this issue. It could be. If it is--Then maybe people would be more understanding when something like this happens. People get upset over nothing. Slow down and enjoy life. Take a deep breath. It will get fixed. If there wasn't so many hackers in this world this stuff wouldn't be needed.

I'm not upset, I just want to override it I sell on Ebay and need to do some work. No biggie but hopefully it will be fixed soon. I clicked on the "continue to website anyway" and it goes back to Ebay for about 3 seconds, then goes back to the Norton page. Is there something else I can do? Norton come on. This is getting a bit stupid already. Ebay is a big deal. Money is on the line as we speak Don't really know much about it.

All I know is I'm out of ebay too. Till they get it fixed. I don't want to keep overriding it incase it is something bad.

Don't really know. But whoever if someone did attacked ebay they are causing problems for a lot of people. I have the same issue, but what's worse is that in Firefox It is happening to me, too.

I agree that it must be due to an automatic update. Seriously annoying. You can, of course, still go to the pages, you just have to click go to the page anyway. After a little research I found out that this has been happening since at least Get a grip Norton. We sell lots of our coins on eBay, which means we have no choice but to just deal with it until Norton fixes it. I get the message whenever I try to view a coin that I have listed. If you have google chrome, open a incognito windo. Works fine, even when signed in to your Ebay account.

If anyone has some critical EBay transactions to perform and are getting slowed down by the "continue to site" button clicks, consider temporarily disabling some features involved in this behavior:. You product may show an "orange state" and there may be a "fix now" option that will turn this setting back on. I'm not clear on the solution.

I ran LiveUpdate just now and still get the same false posivite for a fraudulent page only on eBay Motors. Could you provide the specific URL that is causing this false positive? There is now a LiveUpdate solution available, which will prevent the site from being flagged as a fraudulent website. Please run LiveUpdate and then visit the sites again. Let me know if this has resolved the problem for you all.

Still no go when running LiveUpdate. New twist, when visiting the site from the link within this forum, no fraud alert.

But when visiting the site from within eBay motors the fraud alert is still there. That fits in with my experience on all the links in messages here Disregard previous post. Fraud alert comes up all the time. When you view the details of what was downloaded and installed with LiveUpdate, does it list "Website Authentication Definitions"?

This should have downloaded and installed already for you. Is anyone else still seeing this problem with the website, with the authentication definitions applied to their Norton product? You're right, this doesn't seem to be fixed. We're checking out the problem further, and I'll let you know when there's an update on this issue.

Thanks again! Its the URL beginning with vi.
