Open microsoft office 2007 files with 2003

You can open it by going to the programmes in the start menu and then selecting it from the list of applications in Microsoft Office. After opening the Microsoft Word, click on the button which is given on the upper left corner of your screen. When the document is opened, go through it and see if there is any need of making some changes. Tried the OLE It was causing the failure. Still does not open Word. The progress bar at the bottom says its opening the file but there is no green blocks progressing to the right. Then the error message, "There was an error opening the file".

Another person called because they were using a Word document with a table in it, and could not make a row in the table break across two pages. Again, this is because the file was in Compatibility Mode. Changing the files to a file format fixed both problems.
